| Post subject: Duties and Tax Guidelines on stuff you bring back .. |
.. to Canada for example.
I'm talkin Stereo equipments, musical instruments, dirt bikes or ATV's, jewelry, furniture, etc etc.
Where could I find a guideline on applicable duties or tax if I eventually have all this stuff jammed in a container ? Are there any loopy holes on certain items

I have the same questions but going to the UK. Hell if I can find the info on Her Majesty's official tax/import website. Especially want to know about taking our electric bike back. |

for returning Canadians:
http://www.cbsa-asfc.gc.ca/publications/pub/rc4105-eng.html
different rules for people settling in Canada-ie. goign for the first time.
Basically used household goods for returning Canadians are free. See the rules about how much and how long. Note rules get easier if you have been away longer. |
