| Post subject: Biggest flower market in shanghai? |
Hello,
can someone please tell me where the biggest flower market atm is? Getting visitors tomorrow and, as I am not that interested in flowers, have no idea where to take them.
Thanks |

718 Hong Jing Lu, near Yan An Xi Lu, in Gu Bei Area.
Not sure if it is the biggest in Shanghai, but it is quite big. Other than flowers, they also have furniture/ homeware/ decorations stores, pet stores, aquarium shops... |

the place in Gubei is really nice, but its mainly for us expats... you wont see many chinese buying there since prices are higher...
I know there is a "local" flower market at ChangShou lu, not far from Wuning rd. there you can get the same flowers as everywhere else at joke prices, but you wont find the nice home decorations as in gubei.. |

Hi. If you have trouble in doing this, you also can order them online. Of course the price will be a little higher than where you will go in person.
Actually, the url in my signature is a gift basket & flowers delivery website. It is mainly a gift basket delivery website and has their chain florist shops in Shanghai. Hope it is useful to ya. |

There is a huge one in Putuo area, so a lttle to the north. Not sure of the rd. name but is an extension of LanGao Lu, and is just after crossing the rail lines, that go to Shanghai north station. I take a 737 bus from start of LanGao Lu. (3 stops) It is very Chinese, and I havn't seen an expat there, but I enjoy going there, as so interesting. There is everything from rock gardens, every type of animal you can imagine, and numerous flower and plant shops. It is a little grubby, but pricewise, everything very negotiable. |

there a gigantic one in pudong just outside of the longyang subway stop with all the plants, flowers, and trees, too. however, i go to the hongmei one for convenience. you can still get great deals there. i bought a ton of flowers for 5-10rmb each pot. |
