Try a new restaurant on the Bund, Shui Yuan (means "source of water"). It serves healthy Chinese food, with lots of organic vegetables, in a non-smoking environment. We also use olive/canola oil, no MSG, and no-tap water for cooking. Keep your insecticide levels down!

Try Shui Yuan, #1 Yanan Dong Lu, 3F, 6330 8098. All no-smoking. Great view of the Bund, organic vegetables and whole grains, Sichuan and other country food, no MSG, don't use tap water, etc. and great taste!

I was at South Beauty (in Citic Square) yesterday and they have a non smoking area. So maybe all their locations do. Didn't eat so cannot comment on the food but surprised that a Chinese place had NS.

Dante cafe [CLOSED NOW] On Nanjing road has no management whatsoever and is run by 17 year old girls, so they dont enforce anything and there is always smoking in the non smoking section.

The beer at Paul Aner is so good can anyone tell me if other places has been as good as here?

OK my finds.
* Las Tapas on Hong Mei Lu is completely non smoking indoors. Smokers have to sit outside.
* TMSK 66 in Plaza 66 has two sections that are situated a few metres apart. one smoking and one non-smoking.
* Wagas are all non-smoking except the Hongqiao branch which is all non-smoking at certain times on certain days.

Hey this is a great idea! Thanks to Yu888 for starting it!

I would like to add Sweet Dynasty at the basement of Hong kong New World along Huai Hai has a big non smoking section too.

If anybody knows of any more restaurants with no smoking section near or along Huai Hai / Xin Tian Di, I'd be very keen to know!

Charme at Xingmei in Pudong right by Ba Bai Ban has a non-smoking section. I'm not sure about the one at Raffles though.

I've dined in several vegetarian restaurants that were all non-smoking. Food is not western, but Chinese. Forgot most names, but remember WuGuanTang at 359 Xinhua lu. Good atmosphere, good food, no smoke and maybe to disappointment of some of us, also no wines and other alcoholic beverages.

Seems like a lot more places than originally thought.

Anybody going to take a crack at extracting the various names and putting them into a single, editable list organized by food type?

Prime restaurant at Sashas (11 Dongping Lu/Hengshan lu) is completely non-smoking as of 1st of April. Smokers are asked to move to the bar area to smoke.
