Anyone knows where to find a qualified professional to install a projector and screen (100 inches)? Also what will be the cost??? Highly appreciate.
PS:
Having issues before with a doggy installer recomended by the place where I bought the screen. |

The people the shops send over can (usually) plug things together and make them work, but few can do any calibration. Putting in a projector and screen generally require drilling holes in the ceiling and/or wall, and many don't have the tools or ability to do that.
Most construction people can do that, though don't expect any AV knowledge. You'll have to tell them where to put it, how high, etc.
I know several AV installers, though all will charge a bit. If you are buying other equipment (speakers, amps), they will, of course, be more interested. Give me a PM with the brands you are using, what else you need, where you are located, and I'll try to point you in the right direction. |

Have a 5.1 surround system. Amp and speakers are Harman Kardon and projector is Optoma with 100 inches automatic screen.
The last installer that the shop recommended when I first arrived in Shanghai was terrible. Basically I had to tell him what to do and did everything myself as well. They didn't even have the tools to do the job properly. |

See my pm.
What you say about the shop guy is typical...they have one or two tools, and try to do everything with them. The technical skill level of the average AV shop is pretty weak. |
