Hi there,

I was in Qingdao 2 days ago and there is a cheapest place that what you are now saying in Qingdao.
It is a Youth Hostel near downtown on a small hill very clean though.
RMB60 for one bed in a 6bed room or rmb80 for a bed in a 3 beds room.
I enjoyed going there! Food was good! Prepare a good pair of sneakers so you can enjoy the city!
I did so much walking that on the 3rd day I could not even walk!
Anyway, you should not go and swim there is so much algae and I heard the locals saying it was so itchy!I would not recommend sea food... but this is your call!
A part from that it is a great place!
