I am definitely interested in a weekly game. Used to playing no-limit hold-em in Toronto. You can email me at russelberon@yahoo.ca. |

IgotAquestion thanks for the invite, I have been missing poker nights. Are the players strictly hold??em players or are there going to be other games like; follow the queen, jacks are better, seven card, five card, high-low, etc. Just let me know when and where and I will be there with money to lose. |

perhaps u could send a circular e-mail to us losers?
tommckay1478@hotmail.com
i already do a regular poker night of about 5/6 people every week. could we all join?
im no pro but i know the rules. do u bet a single sum like the pros or per card? lessens the hurt for us jokers. |

I'd be up for it as well. I've been missing my regular home game in the States since I moved to Shanghai earlier this year. I know a ton of dealers choice variations if people are interested in trying out some new games. Hold'ems good too, although I'm not sure a tournament would be as much fun just at the outset. Where would you play, Pudong or the French Concession? Please add me to whatever contact list is developed: klink94@hotmail.com Cheers |

As of right now it looks like we're going to try and get a game set up for Sunday night around 7 because everybody has a day off and concidering there is no place to watch the Bowl Games poker will be a nice substitute.
Most importantly is a place to play, if there is anybody that has a big enough set up for 5-6-7-8 people and would be generous enough to hold the first game at their place let us know. Otherwise we can go Chinese style and play at one of teahouse/card rooms they have all around the city.
I'm not going to do individual emails, but rather just put any info on the post just give it a look for any updates.
So as of right now it stand that:
When: We will have a game sunday january 1st at 7pm
Where: ???
Who: Anybody with some cash
give some suggestions about a place and I'll do my best to finalize the rest of this info by Sunday early afternoon.
Thanks for all the replies and interest see you Sunday |

Am using my girlfiriends username here.
Am also curious, is there a game tonight. Was talking to a friend about this. We can probably play at one of the Chinese card places. Until we get a regular place, there's one on Beijing Road, close to Shimen Road. For the longer term, we could rent a room somewhere for fairly cheap and split the cost between the players.
Anyhow, if anyone is interested in playing tonight, please call: 1347 254 2205 -- Russel |

I have to wait for Brent to msm me the exact address, but we can get a private room there no cost. I'll post as soon as I get the address. Sorry again see you monday! |

It ended up with only 4 people playing but I think we all had a good time. Thanks keeyoung for setting it up and letting us mess up his apartment. 4 compelete strangers met and played powker for 5 stright hours and got to know each other pretty well, which was the best part anyways. We agreed that we will try to do this regularly though we haven't agreed on our next meeting time yet. But if anyone else is interested please email me at jaimai@gmail.com with your name/number I will contact you next time we have something set up. (girls are allowed) |

Sounds like you had fun! I'd like to get into the next game if you need more players. I hope it's dealer's choice - I picked up a lot of wild games working in the Texas oilfields. I can volunteer my place for a future game, if folks don't mind coming over to Pudong. PM me if you want my personal email. |

I'm in. I've been in Shanghai for a year, and a poker night sounds great. I live in Pudong, but either Puxi or Pudong will work for a meeting site. I just returned from Michigan, and brought 900 chips on the chance that a poker game would surface. If somebody's taking the lead on organizing the next game send me an email at tilsonteam@aol.com. Thanks! |
