| Post subject: where should i work (or not work?) |
I need the advice of the group. Last week the American software company I have worked for since May of 2006 decided to cut back even more, and the training department in which I work will cease to exist after July 31st. I taught English and "soft skills" to Chinese IT workers. I have eight years of teaching experience in three countries, a bachelors degree, CELTA certificate, lots of references, blah blah... I really enjoy teaching, and training in a corporate setting is where I feel the most comfortable.
I posted my resume in a few places, and have been overwhelmed with emails and phone calls from schools near and far, wanting to hire me. I would rather work in-house for a corporation rather than for an English school. I am thinking to contact companies directly to apply that way.
Does anybody know of any big corporations in Shanghai that do in-house training? I know Microsoft has lots of "partner" companies, and I actually spoke to one of them today. But if anybody knows of a stable, reputable company (Chinese or otherwise) that does in-house training, I would appreciate hearing about it. I live in Puxi on Line 4, but would go to Pudong if the right opportunity came along.
You can pm me or reply here, either way is fine.
Thanks,
Andy |

it is impossible to know about when the opportunity comes...
u could firstly pick up an inferior one, and then wait for the senior one...
good luck
