Hi,

There are regular social squash games at Shanghai Stadium (East Asia Tennis/Squash Centre).

The standards are mixed, from beginners to extremely good.

It is fairly social and you will meet people from many nationalities (locals, British, Aussies, Japanese, Malaysians, Singaporeans, Hongkies, Germans, French, South Africans, etc)

Metro stop Shanghai Stadium. 1 metro stop south of Xujiahui Station.

Sessions :
a) Monday 6:30pm to 9:30pm
b) Thursday 6:30pm to 9:30pm
c) Saturday 3:00pm to 6:00pm

These sessions are opened to anyone. No registration or membership stuff. Just come with racquet/racket and proper attire, eg. indoor shoes (non-marking soles).

Just walk-in, say hello to those present and then get on with the game.

Just pay RMB50 at the end of each session. No worries about court booking or playing partners availability.

Loowk, is this post still available?

I wanna have a look over there today (Thursday 15th), is anyone in? MargaritaZR?

In answer to the question about racquetball. There is a court at The Ritz Carlton Portman Hotel. It is the only court that I have found so far in China.

Too bad the architects dont make the court structuring, based on convertible courts. With the movable back wall, then both racquetball and squash can be played on the same court. Allowing more options. Can also play wallyball and badminton when the court is big enough for racquetball.
