Brüno - 5/10
Bruno simply isn't as funny as Borat. It's just much filthier. Be prepared to be shocked and possibly disgusted in between the laughs.

WATCHMEN - Directors cut 5/5

Almost 30 more minutes of gore and blood, scenes they cant show on the big screen. Fun to watch before, but more fun in this version

Orphan - 8/10. Excellent twist at the end.

5/10 for me too. Not that funny, and not much witty humour. Just a few gay jokes in between graphic and rather gratuituous shots of sexual organs and devices. Not that funny really.

Orphan 4/5

an impressive horror movie. Isabelle Fuhrman is only 12, but apparently she has the potential to be a very dangerous sexy woman.

Adoption never sounds like a good idea to me.

The Protector. I'm usually not into fighting movies but this one was way cool! Plus it had cute elephants.

I just saw this one too. I haven't been impressed with movie fight choreography in a long time, but this film changed that.

Tony Jaa is on a whole 'nuther level when it comes to stunt work. I think this movie alone had two of the greatest fight scenes of all time: A ten minute single shot sequence where he climbs a dozen flight of stairs beating up everyone in his path, and once he gets to the top where he takes down a whole gang with joint locks.

The plot is very cheesy, but you can't help but love the main character- after all, he's a lowly peasant boy kicking ass to save his baby elephant friend. The cinematography is also very impressive, especially for this genre of film. Very few martial arts films have been this fun to watch for me- plus it's cool to see less well known arts like Muay Thai, Muay Boran, and Krabi Krabong being represented in an action film.

Based solely on how much I enjoyed this film I'd give it 4/4 stars. IMDB gives it 6.9/10.

Thick as thieves 2/5
Starring Mprgan Freeman / Antonio Banderas
- Watchable but does have "it" to make it different from other heist movies

MJ This is It at GuoTai Cinema yesterday afternoon. Enjoyable film, more for the music than anything else. The editing of the various bits was very good. I did get the impression that soundtracks were recorded over the various clips to make it more entertaining which it was. The film showed MJ as a professional musician, pretty normal really. Didn't go into his life, death, scandals etc. Was nice to watch him dance and listen to the music - like a concert on screen.

Only a handful of people in the cinema which didn't stop the f*ckwit in front of me shouting down his mobile, so I kicked his seat as hard as I could much to his wife's annoyance, so I kicked hers as well.

7.5/10

Started watching Primer last night. Then went off to do some stuff and resumed at around 3:00am. Maybe semi understood the plot at that point.

I will have to watch it again.
