Definately true! Be prepared that even if a guy loves you and considers marrying you, he will want to have sex before marriage. It is a very uncommon thing for western guys to wait until marriage before getting intimate. I think only some hardcore religious freaks do that...
Be prepared for this problem but don't worry too much! Just go with the flow! Get to know the guy better. Go for a date and talk about life.
Just be yourself, if he likes you - good for you. If he doesn't - at least you know then... So really, you don't have too much to lose.
But you cannot "MAKE HIM LOVE YOU"! Good luck! |

To the OP- I'm a guy and I had a few Chinese teachers when I first arrived.
Everyone will be telling this guy that it's usual for students to get it on with their teachers, and that it's almost expected.
So if he was interested in you, I think he might have made a move already. Sorry! |

GIFT can be... invite him for a dinner on his birthday, talk freely in the restaurant cos at that time, u guys are ' no teacher and student ' relationship...
i don't know him, so i think if he smokes u can buy him a lighter, he will think of u when he uses it ... or a custom-made T shirt / or love t shirt with his name and your name...if he is a business man, buy him a tie or cuff link ...
i always buy tie / or a lover t shirt for my bf...he is happy about that...

No sex before marriage is very rare in the West. I think most people consider finding sexual compatibility as important as personality. It would be a nightmare to marry and spend your life with some who cant satisfy you physically! |

these girls are from where you are living for the moment----Shanghai.
I don't think that you would be proud of being a layman of Chinese culture.
quiestu, I am not saying that it's good or bad to stay virgin before marriage. coz it really depends on your personal cases,such as your family's expectation,your own desire,the sort of man you want to marry finally,etc.. you need to balance it before making decision.
But it's okay to follow your heart,do what u like,even make mistakes...coz you r young,you always have the future:)

A friend of my mom (who is in her early 50's) became interested in a teacher of hers and they eventually got married. I'm not 100% sure but I think they are still together now. It is possible but it's pretty rare. I'd even go so far as to say that affairs between teachers and students (i.e. not true love) are more prevalent. |
