| Post subject: who made this website? |
the functionality of this website is pretty good, though not 100 percent sure how its backend works so far.
But would like to know which company made this forum.
Thanks |

This version of Shanghaiexpat was made with MDpro CMS ( heavily modified by us) and the forum that integrates with it is MDforum ( links at the bottom ).. which is a modified version of PHpBB2.. and which is then further modified by us. You can see the develop's site for MDpro at http://maxdev.com... though if I was choosing a CMS right now to start on a new site from scratch, I might consider other options. |

Yeah with all this talk about Web 2.0. there are many free CMS out there which are pretty good. Drupal, XOOPS, Joomla and Mambo are the main ones that I know of. My personal site uses Mambo as a CMS back end. They all provide lots of different useful plugins that you can add to make your site more functional. |

Most professional forum is vBulletin and cost only $90/year. This forum looks like some elementary-school pupil homework. |
