Me being black and all you have to have a tough hide when interacting with locals. You are liable to be called a Hei gui right in front ofyour face, by them assuming you cannot understand Chinese
Usually I don't pick a girl based on physical characteristics too often u
nless they are overly obease, that just doesn't sit well with me.
So I put an ad in the paper. I got some reponses, based on the fact that the locals assume every American is a white guy.(Put black and you probaly won't get any response). I really want a serious relationship. I'm trying to change my ways from the way I have been acting recently.
So this last girl was quite enthusiastic about meeting me before she even knew who I really was. She sent me the picture and she was pretty hidious but I was willing to look beyond that because she said......
"HI there...How are you doing?Im *** and living in PUdong area...
YOu mentioned that you are looking for a beautiful woman,aww I am not.But I can say I have a nice personality:-).OH well I cant really judge myself but just giving you an idea:-)
I am attaching some pics and I hope they wont scare you..."
After I sent her my picture she says "I don't like blacks sorry" and just erases me, blocks and the whole nine yards. I get this often from local girls that look similiar. If you are hot and turn me down I could understand, but a butt ugly troll doing it is beyond me.
My concern is if you are ugly you are ugly whether black white yellow or the other.
This is to the local girls....If you are rejecting people because of skin color to the lot of you I would ask you to look in the mirror.
China seems to me like the episode of the twilight zone "eye of the beholder"
I was a pretty hot item in New York , but now that I'm here black is black unless you are Obama, Will Smith, or Kobe(notice that they are all light skinned)
My question is do ugly Chinese women think they are hotter than a beautiful black woman or a hot black guy?

probably more that the people with whom you are interacting are racist and unable to see beyond what has been instilled in them regarding black people since birth. it is far easier to believe the hype than find out about a person on one's own. |

The reason why I sent it was because I said I don't judge people wholy on physical characterristics, other than being obease.

So you want to start a "serious relationship" based on suppressing an EXTREMELY important information ? It would be important EVERYWHERE in the world and amplified in China. You MUST know that. Even in the USA many white girls would NOT date black guy, not because they are racists but simply because its not their thing. |

the key difference is that those women in the states have been exposed to black people growing up in one way or the other so one can say that some are basing choices on racism while others are basing the decision on personal experience (albeit, not with the every individual black person) whereas many local chinese haven't had that same level of experience/exposure so the response of "i don't like black people sorry" can really be based on nothing more than racism since they haven't had an opportunity to form their own opinions based on individual black people.
there are black/chinese couples around, but they are far and in-between. far more common outside of china. |

Well they SAW black people before, they are not telling him he is bad person or something, they just do not like the dark skin. I will admit I do neither, its kind of "ewww" for me, now this is not racist, this is simply how it is. I am sure there are people for whom Asian girls are "ewww" while for me they are adorable cuties. |

Well Mr. Admin why should race be so important? It seems like it is very important to you. Do you have yellow fever? I just like girls, it just happens that I'm in China. Hot, nice personality is in all races why should it be EXTREMELY important.? I don't hide the fact of my color. I just don't thinkit should be relevent. Sometimes I don't even put my nationality. And I know some White girls who would NEVER touch a white guy. So whats your point?

So if I understand it correctly not only you did not mention this fact although you must know it is important, especially in China, you actually were aware it would have negative impact on number of answers you would get.

And they do say that I am a "bad" person based on ill conceived images in the media. They don't say I'm ugly....It's usually along the lines of "your c**k is probaly too big" or "I'm afraid" which is ignorent. So it's not this "ewww" notion that you created out of thin air probaly based on something that happend to you you as a child.
And are you telling me you wouln't go out with Beyounce or Lauren Hill, or Tyra Banks or Rihanna? Pleeeeease! Save that for the birds man. |

Again - there are and were pracically NO BLACKS where I grew up. Some Cubans but they were usually Latinos or some prominent students from African dictatorhsips.

I'm going to have to say that you're probably going to have a hard time here with the locals, *although*, I would hit up some of the expat circles. I've seen a ton of white women in SH dating black guys.
A lot of women here complain about the choice in Chinese guys, since they simply don't appeal to them. You'd probably be a godsend to these foreign girls. Just take a look around the forums and see how many foreign girls (even overseas Chinese) that complain about the local selection of men and complain about how the foreign men here aren't interested in them.
Unless you've got the Yellow Fever, I'd suggest the expat circles. If you *do* have the fever, though, that'll be slightly harder - however, in a city of 18,000,000 - it won't be that hard.
Maybe consider putting out an ad that straight out says you're black - there may be a niche market there for you. |
