| Post subject: Budvar Beer from Czech Republic now available in Shanghai |
The Original Budvar lager from the Czech Republic has arrived in our fair city! This is one of the world's better lagers, and the only Czech product available in Shanghai. Very pleasant and refreshing hoppiness to it, easy to drink with a 5.0% alcohol content. The Czechs are the largest per capita beer consumers in the world, and they make a pretty decent beer as well. This is definitely a small step forward in improving our beer culture in Shanghai.
We've got it for rmb35 per 330ml bottle at Wunderbar Sports Bar (www.wunderbar.cn), and have a Buy 3, get 1 free until October (to celebrate the Olympics and especially the end of the Olympics), making it only rmb26 per bottle. Of course that includes free pool on 1 of our 6 genuine 9' Brunswick Metro tables and free popcorn. We've got complete Olympics coverage with 4 flat screen tv's next to each other carrying different events for easy viewing. |

well, it's available in the store of mandarin city since almost 3 years (like 10RMB).... by the way .... its no bullfeces, it's beer from the place, were it was invented! |

You wrote "the only Czech product" not "the only Czech beer" - can you feel the different or you just driking too much of your own beer ?
For kicks: In 1997 or so Gubei Carrefour had "Pilsner Urquell" in cans imported by Girardelli (the skier).
