| Post subject: Best Banking in China for Expats(HSBC, Citibank,BofA, BOC..) |
Just wondering which of the Banks in China International and Chinese do you think is best with type of personal transactions expats needs to have done and the one with best (english language) web sites where you can control your account online.
Looked at HSBC Normal (Min 100K RMB No Fee) and HSBC Premier (Min 500K RMB no fee) both seems pretty good especially since their online access is in english just wondering if people have good or bad experience with them or any others.

Factoring in that they have almost zero ATMs and even fewer branches, HSBC would be my very last option.
Depending on your needs, ICBC is pretty good. They online banking is in English and far more robust than HSBC's, |

My only other experience is with BoC, so I would have to say ICBC because its easier and cheaper to TT USD back to my account in the US. |

HSBC can't issue you any debit or credit cards so in the end I'd suggest going with ICBC. |

Go back and read OP's original post. We are talking about banks in China. |

Yeah, CMB is really great if you expect a) useless online banking, b) sky-high credit card fees, c) laughable credit card limits and d) not having your credit history reported to the People' Bank credit file system thus making it diofficult to ever get credit from a different bank. |
