| Post subject: Bars in Luwan District |
HELP!! VERY URGENT!!!
I just moved to Luwan district and I can't find any bars near my new apartment (Madang Lu / Jianguo Lu).
I'm 110% certain there's one just around the corner, hidden away, that has pints of beer for 5 rmb, proper English fish and chips and dancing girls, can't seem to put my finger on it though.
Please help me to find the local before I die of thirst!!!! |

Apart from KABB and DR Bar in Xintiandi, I can't think of any casual places in yr neck of the woods. Forget the English fish and chips unless you venture over to Blarney Stone or Sashas on Dongping Lu; and forget the dancing girls until you head to Thailand or the Philippines. |

Thanks! I've been in KABB a few times, it's ok but not what I'm really looking for.
I went to the Shed on Friday night though, that was great, shame it's not open every every night!
girlatwork, that sounds interesting, which pizza place do you mean, on taikang lu? |

No dancing girls at the Shed either, unless you count Walrus |

There's a pole shoved up Fiddler's arse. That might work. |

@boywonder, you could also try Windows Scoreboard on Huaihai, near Sinan Lu, on a 3rd floor location. It's usually good for a few ales. Check one of the English mags like "That's Shanghai" for the exact address info. |

Actually, I spotted a couple of places on Taikang Lu yesterday, one called Shandy's and another called something like Bar 288. Both of them were empty and didn't look so great though, anyone been to either of them? |
