Post subject: Jialiang Kennel for cats - your experience please

I already searched this site but couldn't find any new reports about how they treat cats there.

Would be nice to hear your experience with them Smile

Thank you

I was not too impressed with them. Not at all. If I would have to use a Kernel again or put my cat up at Paws. But now I look for people who come to our Place to take care of our 2 cats when we are gone. How long are you gone for ? I might be able to cat sit if you live in Pudong. PM me

Thanks for your offer but unfortunately we don't live in Pudong but Xuhui.

Yes, it would be nice to have someone living nearby and looking after the cat in our flat ... but we still don't know enough people.

When we found her on the street I already posted here that I would be willing to cat sit for someone nearby too. But the thread seems to have disappeared. Confused

Right, Paws maybe an alternative. I'm just wondering - how do they board the cats. In small cages like this "normal" boarding at Jialiang?

Paws has different options pending on how much you are willing to spend. They have the small cages, medium and large cages. Plus a VIP Kernel. PM me if you are looking for a Cat Sitter. I live in Pudong along Pucheng Lu.

Ok, my husband is going to have a look at Paws.

Funny that there are no other replies - so everyone else has got an ayi who looks after their cats?

So maybe we should employ one for our cat Laughing

Hi Tigerduck,
All of my friends who have cats always leave the cats at home and the Ayi comes by once or twice a day to replenish the food and water dishes and of course clean the litter box. From what the cat lady at SCAA tells me, cats do not like change and some cats if taken to a cattery they become very stressed. They say that it is easier to just have the ayi come in and do these things. Good Luck to you!!

yes, we just get a cat sitter for our cat. Personally I couldn't imagine keeping him in a cage for a week when he's used to running around and having freeroam in the apartment.

a friend of mine put her cat in a petshop that claims to take good care about dogs and cats, at Thumb Plaza. She payed for the VIP, so her cat could stay in a nice room. (she doesn't have kids and her cat is all for her).
And she asked them to groom her cat the day she would pck up her, so he will be smelling good and be clean!
Things are that she came one day eralier, and went to the shop to see her cat. He was in a small cage, all dirty and looking dizzy.
They didn't explain anything to her, neither gave her any excuse!

So be carefull about those places here. Better to have someone coming to your house and sit your pet.

@sallywonderland, well, I would have to pay for the VIP version since our cat even hates to be put in a bag so that we can carry her to the vet. She is puting up such a fuss. Rolling Eyes She would go mad if she was put in a cage.
Of course I would prefer to keep her in my flat. But how to find a cat sitter who is willing to come twice a day for a couple of weeks?

@iara And did u r friend get her money back?
