do you have to work all 3 days? I have a full time job, so can't do Friday but would be interested in doing the other two days.

The Expat Show is actually an exhibition of many lifestyles and consumer products that higher end consumers may be interested in. It attracts dozens of vendors and such that offer goods tha much of teh expat market enjoys and seek. I was very skeptical befor ethe forst show last year, but it was really a good exposition of differnt products and services that we as expas sometimes seek... and not all at ridiculous proces either., They dont sell att the show typically, but certainly its good to know certain prods and services exist here.

Sounds pretty interesting.

But you do NOT want me at the booth. Trust me.

We would be very happy to have someone who can work with us for the three days but if you can not make the three days and still interested in volunteering at this event, please also let me know your schedule by droping me an email including your contact information, we will contact you accordingly.

Forgive me if I'm being stupid...but why on earth would anyone want to volunteer to promote someone else's profit making enterprise?

Important people who have nothing more important to do than visiting an event full of people who want to sell them stuff.

I tend to agree with anonymoron's comment, but good try anyway.

Because it gives you the opportunity to meet a lot of other expats -- most of them much more successful than you, obviously -- and you could get a job for a change that didn't involve teaching kindergarten.

Or in the case of FrenchLover, meeting other expats that aren't Cheese-Eating Surrender Monkeys.

Sure, but you don't have to worry about translating. Your job would be just to stand there, smile and look beautiful. Easy for you.

One good reason is to help out an organization that provides a wealth of invaluable local knowledge that would otherwise take days searching for on the internet.

Unfortunately I'm in Suzhou that weekend!

I emailed some questions to the email address listed, expressing my interest to help, when this post first went up and there were no replies.

A day later, the users here have answered all my questions, but still no reply from this Lisa character.

Great way to enlist support.

Why so defensive? What do you find to be unreasonable?

I was there last year and is more family oriented. I expected more food and drinks companies, perhpas selling something yummy, but there were none there. Only financial advisors/banks, schools, golf courses and similar (for me) useless stuff.
