Hello all!
I am a Taiwan raised, American educated (U. of Michigan) ethnic Chinese college student. I'm currently interning in SH till the end of Dec. I want to use this opportunity to polish up my Chinese skills (which is at middle school level). Do any of you have any resources or information where I can find group classes? I'm not limited to programs catered to foreigners, as I'm also interested in mingling with the locals.
Also, I am looking to meet new people with a similar background (though not necessarily Chinese) and age (19-25) as myself, since the only person I know in town is a HS buddy of mine. I am interested in understanding and living the city.

I'm heading over to Shanghai shortly for 3 months and am in a similar situation (though am probably older than you). Would be interested to know how you get on and whether we could meet up for a coffee to exchange notes and tips! |
