Hi!
Thank you very much for the feedback. Now that the race is over, I would like to leave some feedback. It may be useful for a reader in the future.
1.- TICKETS: As I read in the forums, it was easy to buy cheap tickets from the scalpers. I went to the International Gymnastic Center –one of the 4 points for the shuttle bus- and I got a ticket for 300 RMB. Face value was 680 RMB. Without making a big effort bargaining, so for sure if you ¨flight¨ you can get it cheaper.
2.- SHUTTLE BUS: There was an article in Shanghai Daily about the shuttle bus, indicating the points where you could catch it. It was this link, but now it doesn´t work http://www.shanghaidaily.com/article/?id=376791&type=Metro
So down there I attach the article. I cost 50 RMB round trip, and they worked very well, not having to wait at all to jump in. Another thing is waiting in traffic… but that´s Shanghai.
Apart of that, there was information about the ¨booze¨ bus in this forum too:
http://www.shanghaiexpat.com/MDForum-viewtopic-t-81659.phtml
3.- BOOZE IN THE CIRCUIT: There were many vendors out of the circuit. And you being inside, you could still buy from them through the fence, so it was not expensive at all.
This is the articlepublished in Shanghai Daily about the shuttle bus…
¨Shuttle bus routes set up for F1 race
FOUR shuttle bus routes will be arranged for the Chinese Grand Prix starting on Friday and running through Sunday, which is race day.
The shuttle buses link Shanghai International Circuit with the districts of Xuhui, Changning, Hongkou and Pudong New Area.
Route 1 starts at Shanghai Stadium by Lingling Road near Tianyaoqiao Road in Xuhui District. Route 2 starts at Shanghai International Gymnastics Center on Wuyi Road near Zhongshan Road W. in Changning.
Route 3 begins at Gate 6 of Yuan Shen Sports Center on Yushan Road in Pudong while Route 4 departs from Hongkou Football Stadium on Dongjiangwan Road in Hongkou.
Routes 1, 2 and 4 will be in service from Friday through Sunday. Route 3 will be in service only on Saturday and Sunday. Roundtrip tickets cost 50 yuan (US$7.3).¨ |
