| Post subject: V: the Final (nostalgic) Battle |
Just downloaded V the Miniseries, V the Final Battle and V the (very short-lived) TV Series.
My first thoughts, having not seen this since I was probably 10 was the script's portrayal of the world at the time.
"The craft came down from space, and while several military jets fired missiles at it, the missiles just seemed to have steered away. No one knows how or why." God I hope that's not what we're like should this actually happen in our generations.
Anyways, it'll be cool to watch again, some 25 years later. I won't see it the same as when I was that young, but even nostalgia is fun. It's why I enjoyed Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles so much after seeing that just as long ago.
Especially moreso since 2009 will see a new sequal, V: The Second Generation. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0366112/
