Post subject: reimport to get it fixed question

We shipped a product out to Macau, but need to reimport it back into Guangzhou to get it fixed and adjusted and then ship it back to macau. Anyone know how to do this in regards to not paying an import tax when it is imported back into the mainland? Thanks

Walk it over the border at Gongbei in Zhuhai, and then ship from there.
Or pay someone to send it over. Plenty of kuadi companies do that there.

Depends on size of course.

Or do it the legal way, and fill in too much paperwork at customs.

it is way to big to walk across the border. It's an arcade game machine. I will try calling a kuadi company in Macau to see if they could handle it. Thanks.

Be prepared to pay a substantial customs bond if you plan to do it legitimately.

Whats wrong with it? (out of interest)
I've built a few myself Smile

Probably don't need to ship the whole machine for fixing.
Might be cheaper to ship a person down there to fix it.

GZ -> ZH is a short flight, they could probably be done in a day, and out.
Probably less than 3k for flight, hotel, fix, parts, and back out etc.

Unless you declared it with customs before shipping it out of China, you're screwed.
