The admin removed my signature.
It was a satirical comment on the recent selling out of Taiwan by its 'allies' Paraguay, Haiti and Panama.
Some halfwit poster is unable to appreciate a joke (I don't mean the signature, I mean my post on Haiti). This dimwit sees my signature as 'racism' and suddenly the admin is busy censoring things.
Yet another example of how morons who can scarcely communicate in English determine what goes around here. |

Of course it was a satire.. but do you think everyone got it? Unless someone knows you, the joke is pretty subtle. I am not sure who pulled the plug on it, but I see we did get some reports on it. By itself, it falls into grey area.. people who know you might laugh.. people who don't might be offended. We don't promote death to any one here satirical or not.. for this very reason. |

Kiwi just stayed with me, and I told him not to go to Dominican Republic, since I've been there oodles of times, and he did. I told him I heard Haiti was bad and to not go and he did. So many amazing Caribbean places and he chose one of the world's biggest shtholes!

As said before, all moderators are native English speakers so your assumption is still off-base; and based on reports and complaints received I'd say its a good reminder that this is still a public forum with certain rules and certainly as Michael stated, a comment promoting death to anyone, satire or not, without context, is just ridiculous. |

I am surprised they now have internet out there. Definitely not like in the olden days of Jeremiah Johnson. I heard however your connection doesnt work with electric signal but smoke. Is that broadband? Do you get the pics in color or black & white? |

Selling out ? The only reason they were 'allies' was because Taiwan bought and paid for them. Costa Rica was in that group too, not sure if they still are. Why ? Because Taiwan built bridges and other public works projects for Costa Rica.
So China offered more. Isn't that what you should expect when you buy 'allies' ? |

Polical siht is up again. Such being the case, I'd say that I don't see China is outbidding Taiwan to marginally take Taiwan's diplomatic trenches quite in form of consulting, monetary aids nor facility constructions, but I do see China is outbidding Taiwan from those diplomatically related countries in a pretty larger picture, which could be elucidated as potential or current commercial amount. I reckon the tops of Chinese government is not much concerned about the liabilty of those countries but they are contemplating about how they could live with that scenario peacefully and pacifically. They aren't eager to see the stirup of that siht comes along among Chinese mass automatically without any inclining propaganda vane. |
