| Post subject: How to buy Professional cookbooks in Shanghai |
This topic has probably been done to death, but please humor me! I'm looking for new cookbooks -professional ones from well known restaurants, such as Thomas Keller's latest book 'Under Pressure', Grant Achatz' Alinea cookbook, Heston Blumenthal's 'The Big Fat Duck' cookbook. I've been to Charter Bookhouse on Huaihai Lu near Xizang Lu and to a few other shops but haven't had much luck...
Does anybody buy books from Amazon.com or another on-line book store? If so, is it relatively quick and easy? And lastly, any suggestions on which country is easiest to have the books shipped from? US, UK, OZ, HK, etc.,.
Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! |

Amazon.com they are very reliable and with the discounts they offer it will cover the postage. I used them for many years when I lived in Shanghai and never had a problem. |
