Uh, I don't quite get your post here. I don't know if this was directed at me?
I understand if you don't agree with my point of view, but there's really no need to get personal here and call me "shallow and stupid."
Who was talking about stealing?
I'm sorry, but I really don't understand your post here.
Do you want to tell me in Chinese? Then maybe I can understand you better? |
Hey knuckle head, the lady was calling you stupid because you're shallow. And if you don't understand the "theft analogy", I guess you're really lost. Now run along and wank off to your Japanese music videos while I romance this real lady. |

Let me phrase it another way in the girls defense:
China is a rapidly growing country with a huge wealth disparity. If a poor family has a beautiful girl it could be their meal ticket if they send her to Shanghai to meet a rich man. A lot of these girls will want you to meet their family right away because there will be an expectation that you will take care of the girl's family as well. A lot of the time in Shanghai you'll see a mother and attractive daughter walking around. It's pretty much a package deal, you're going to have to support them both!
Love is a great ideal, but a lot of them 'can't afford to love'. They have to me more practical and might have a lot of pressure from their families to find a rich guy a tie the knot as quickly as possible. This is not North America or Japan... |
I've seen alot of this, I just thought the mom was being over-protective or that they happened to be doing something together that day. However, the thought of an over-involved mother did cross my mind. Truth be told, if that is the case the majority of the time, it kind-of makes me sick. |

You forgot to mention Alzheimer's and social rejection. Poor Undies. His only love (Natalie) has left the site. As a result, he's been suffering from loneliness, reduced self-esteem, aggression, and depression. He may seem like a big bully at times online but in reality, he's just a lost lonely soul. Go easy on him, Ants. |

HA HA.
Easily the funniest thing I have read all day.
Hey...was that an attempt at getting under my skin? I love girls who act tough...they're usually the easiest to break down.
While I'm not an English teacher, my English is not too bad. And I bet you would love to feel me.
OK...listen, I'll let you feel me up, but only just this once, OK? At no charge to you, of course.
Too bad this message board doesn't have any hugs & kisses emoticon... |

Your last post nearly made me wet my pants...hilarious.
Yeah, actually, I think what the lady wants is to be loved by a stud. So she won't have to log on here and assert her "authority" every time someone posts something that challenges her shaky concept of reality.
Still, nothing she has said could make me angry in the least bit. I feel sorry for her, as 99 percent of the problems associated with a woman's poor behavior result from her not feeling like she is loved. |

Hey man, it's certainly different from what goes on back home, but I can understand why they do that.
Hypothetical question here: supposing you saw a mother-daughter pair walking along the street...and BOTH of them were hot? What then?
It reminds me of my high school...where there was this girl who was pretty cute. But get this: her mom was even cuter than her. No kidding! Most of the guys wanted to hook up with her mom rather than her! Hilarious! |

Give the guy a break. He is looking for something that 's quite universal and is getting a lot of judgmental BS and generalizations. What if he said "I'm looking for a lamborghini or ferrari". Would you say "yeah, but think about how expensive they are and the amount of gas they use"? If you have the resources, be my guest. When you see a guy with a beautiful girl, do you envy him or pity him?
Now, in order to get a beautiful girl in China you need 3 things. You have to be reasonably tall, well educated, and have a good income. This is actually also quite universal. Note that personality doesn't make the top 3 for women.
In terms of locations to find them I agree that Muse is quite good. Also the old Guandii (haven't been to the new one yet). Actually any upscale club would do. If you look like you have your act together they will actually come to you. Have never tried approaching girls on the street, so can't comment on that but worth trying I guess if you're not shy. |

What a crock. I have seen fat, short and generally disgusting old men here with beautiful women who were not pros. If all you want is beauty then all you need is cash. You're both using each other, everyone wins!
You don't even have to be rich, you just need to 'look' like you are. People here have no idea what a wealthy person looks like unless you are overtly displaying it. If you're under a certain age and not wearing a suit they assume you're a student. You have to learn the rules here, it's a whole different game.
Clubs for the most part are a waste of time, the really hot girls will be there with a boyfriend or at a table that you can't approach. Probably only 5% or less of the girls here go to clubs and an even smaller percentage will bother talking to westerners. If you go to a club that has lots of westerners then she's probably ahead of the game and been doing this for a long time. Enjoy your sloppy seconds because she's already ran a train on a dozen expats who won't marry her. At the more Chinese clubs where imho you'll find the more attractive women most of the won't give a laowei the time of day because then the Chinese guys won't want them anymore.
I am painting with a very broad brush here and probably insulting many people, but again I am just giving my observations.
My advice: lower your expectations a bit from finding a 10 to finding an 8 and you'll be a lot happier in long run.
"If you wanna be happy for the rest of your life
Never make a pretty woman your wife
So for my personal point of view
Get an ugly girl to marry you" |

Hey man,
Thanks for the support. I appreciate that you understand what I was trying to accomplish with this post!

From my experience, beautiful women (or almost all women in general) will almost never approach. As a guy, you have to take the risk and do all the approaching, plus risk getting rejected. That's part of being a man.
A guy might get lucky and have a girl approach him - but for the most part, it's up to the guy to approach.
For a girl, her ego (not to mention society programming, which deems her a "slut" if she approaches guys) won't let her approach a guy, even if she likes him.
It is often erroneously said that women do the choosing. In reality, she can only choose from whoever approaches her.
If no guys approach her that day, she can choose nothing.
A long time ago, I was talking to a girl and told her she was beautiful (that's actually an understatement, she was an absolute stunner), and she said something to the effect of, "Yeah, that's true, but being beautiful doesn't mean I can get a good guy."
I was shocked by her honesty...that is so true.
I think that sums up what I said before: a woman can only choose from whoever walks up to her. Otherwise, she can choose nothing.
So I prefer being a guy...the choice is mine. I also take all the risk, but ultimately, my success in finding a suitable partner is in my hands, and mine alone. |

Hey Huaidan,
Interesting point about the clubs...seems like in Chinese culture the clubs mostly have reserved areas where people reserve the table or area, sofa, etc. and get bottle service.
It's like that here and it was like that in Taiwan too.
It's quite the opposite of clubs back home, where there are far more open areas than reserved tables.
When I went into Muse for the first time I was surprised by all the tables and reserved areas. Though I suppose I shouldn't have been.
Anyway, you're right - in that kind of situation where it's mostly tables, if you want to chat up those girls there are only two choices:
1. You have to "crash" their party and hope that the guys you talk to are cool (the guys pay the money for the table, best to befriend them first)
2. You have to wait until she leaves the table to go to the toilet or go dance, to talk to her.
Though these clubs were not created with the purpose of helping people meet others - they were built so the owners could make money, and here, that entails having people pay a lot of money to reserve a table and then spend even more money on alcohol.
I knew this guy a while ago (he was not in Asia, so any doubters out here can't say it was "foreigner appeal" that got him his success), who, somehow got into clubs for free, either by sneaking in, or befriending bouncers, or finding coupons, etc.
This guy would get in, order tap water from the bar so as to not spend any money (mind you, this guy used to just wear jeans and a plain shirt, and sometimes the jeans had holes in them; real holes, it wasn't a special kind of design or anything like that), then at the end of the night (or earlier than that) walk out with a stunning girl who was obviously worth a lot more money than him. And his car was a total piece of crap, the thing used to billow thick black smoke as he drove it around. I doubt that car could have gone more than 10km at a time without exploding into a heap of flames and ash.
At the end of the day, what determines your success with women is your mindset and if you can make them feel those emotions that I talked about in an earlier post. That trumps looks, money and education any day. I would say even here in China that would be the case. Which, Huaidan, you have seen with your own eyes. |

I don't do that anymore....

Who talked about work?
Indian DVDs first, then nearly 60 posts of 30-40 lines each in this thread....
Your time would have been better employed pushing a trolley in Carrefour and bagging a pretty girl
Well, even to get independent, the Americans had to call the French for help |

HA HA. Well, how do you know I won't spend the rest of this year doing what you have just described?
Today I was not really able to leave the house, and when I did, I had to go to the police station and a few other places (I won't get into details here)...hence, my 60 contributions to this thread in between coming and going (were you counting???). ha ha.
By the way, why do you think I'm American? |
