Post subject: Getting to Pudong Airport.

I normally take a cab which can cost anywhere between 150 to 200 rmb.

But then someone told me there's a shuttle bus that only costs about 20rmb!!! I'm not a cheap bastid, but.... Embarassed

I think there's a bus that leaves from Xujiahui which would suit me better but where exactly do I catch it? Also how long does it take to get there?

I've got to arrive at the airport about 8:30 Monday morning.

Cheers!!

I can't remember if it's a 3 or 5 number, it's got Pudong airport written on it (I think down the side), it's a modern coach (different to all the rest that stop) and stops just after Tianping Lu on ZhaoJiaBang Lu (busy bus stop). Cost's about 19rmb and takes approx 50mins. Sorry, not sure on the times but there's got to be an airport info number you could ring.

Aiport Line Number Three.

机场三线

It's just East of XuJiaHui, on the South side of ZhaoJiaBang Rd right across from TianPing Rd. Liam's right- you can recognize the bus because it's taller than the others, but NOT a double-decker. The bus leaves every 20 minutes, and costs 18 RMB (the last time I took it), starting around 6 AM, and the last bus running aroud 6 PM (I think?).

If you do go to this bus station, though, be prepared to have taxi drivers try to get you in their taxi going to Pudong. You can get a one-way trip for around 35-40 RMB, but you might have to wait for one or two other people. You can probably bargain the driver to take just you for 90 RMB, if you're good, or tricky, or have a gun. I once told the driver I'd give him 90 RMB, and 10 extra if he drove fast. He drove TOO FAST. I couldn't even read anything on the way. I was sure to give him the 10 extra.

I don't have a gun.
