I think a chat room would be good. Should be for those with 100+ posts, to avoid spammers. The usual banter that we have on discussion threads should perhaps take place in a chat room - arguments and all! |

Ban sunshinerainbow too. It's completely annoying and aggravating whenever she writes her nonsense on any thread. This is Shanghai Expat after all and she's obviously very very Chinese. |

I know the spammers are will keep coming back and back. But it would be nice to have their accounts and posts deleted immediately. SHExpat needs spam patrol. |

Isn't this already at the bottom of the site? It says
"Home, Sitemap, Terms of Service ..."
or for the forum it says for example

I think the functionality of the job section could be improved. Similar to that of your sister site, Gaijinpot. It is really tricky to use the advanced search as it doesnt save your search area if you hit the back button etc. Apart from that its stellar |

My biggest peeve - separating 'the wheat from the chaff' so how about a way to rate useful information (by established forum participants)? And the rated answers show first in queries. Also - would it be possible to color code (or visually distinguish) posts older than two years? |

most normal posters don't put their email or phone number in their postings. Spammers however do. Could you filter out submissions with email addresses and phone numbers and automatically put them somewhere else? |

It used to be the Pit. Until it was cleaned up. If they restrict to frequent posters, any such veteran-only chat room will be totally boring, like the "only three words" thread |

But sometimes her rants are funny to read, you can't write funnier stuff.
How about this then as a compromise... instead of banning sunshinerainbow outright write some code that one minute after she posts they get automatically sent to her very own forum in the PIT with links to the topics they came from for continuity.
I know many of you will groan and say that's stupid but look at sunshinerainbow rants as not an irritation but as entertainment - maybe all of you are getting too wound up and as mat says "Get Loooooooose" |

- In the forum section on the Goto page it would be nice to be able to input directly the page number you want to see instead of having to hit the page 5 then next page button all the time. Such a waste of time.
- And yes it's annoying to see the same questions all the time (dentists, visa, hairdresser...) but the search function is not very efficient. Maybe should try to gather these similar topics and put them on top as sticky.
- should archive irrelevant posts dating from 2006.
- Make the username and messages more visible (maybe on top or make it stands out by changing colors). I often don't see that I received a PM unless I check my emails. Or after login it would say clearly that a PM awaits you and give you the choice to go to Inbox or skip it. |

Fix it so when you click on an e-mail notification for thread updates (new posts) it does not take you to a post not found page if the poster had deleted or otherwose modified their post. |

There is no reason why when you click on submit it takes ten minutes and then you finally get an error page. |

She did used to be mildly amusing but that was a while ago now. There is never anything new, its still all about her "Brazilian Cat" so ban her for good this time. |
