| Post subject: Looking for a Catholic Church |
Hello,
I just moved to Shanghai. I live in the Luwan District. I am trying to find a Catholic Church that has English services. Does anyone know of any churches in the area?
Thank you so much! |

Nuttily: Nice answer, but O.P may not read the Chinese characters.
There is one on Chongqing Nanlu. So def. in Luwan. Sorry, dont know the number, but a bit south of Fuxing park, and on the same side. (west side)
Many from the Filopino community go there, so guess it would be in English.
I haven't been to a service there, but is very friendly.
You can easy check it out.

There are 3 Catholic churches in Shanghai that have been officially approved to hold mass in English:
1. St Francis Xavier's Church at #185 Dongjiadu Road, in Puxi just off of Zhongshan S. Road - Sat 5pm, Sun 10:30 & 12:30, and Weekdays at 12:30 (except First Fridays and Feast Days, at which time mass is at 7pm). Details at http://www.masstimes.org/dotnet/showchurch.aspx?id=97671
2. St Peter's Church at #270 Chongqing S Road - across from Hefei Road, between Fuxing Zhong and Jianguo Zhong Roads - Sat 5pm and Sun 12 noon. More details at http://www.masstimes.org/dotnet/showchurch.aspx?id=97672
3. Sacred Heart of Jesus at #151 Hong Feng Road - Sun 10:30am
Since you live in Luwan, then SPC is your best bet |

How many churches does St. Peter have? He must be making a killing on the Int'l Real Estate market! |
