Post subject: HU HA SHENHUA

A couple of guys from the forum and friends went to the Shenhua last night and people WHAT A BLAST , their fans really know how to party ... Beating the japanese 3-2 in the last minutes of the game was quite nice ( Littlefox would have loved it ) ...
we're probably making this a regular event now so if others wanna join let us know ...
Glasgowcraig and Dek( you should be called last man standing now ) please pm me your numbers I must have been to drunk last night to ask for it ... Sunday is still on , so let me know if you are up for it ... Cheers
Okay, time to sober up now

Too drunk, who. Laughing First game I have ever been to where I missed 3 goals, my previous record was 2.

Was a really good night and the chance to fulfill a childhood ambition of shouting abuse at howard wilkinson was just the icing on the cake.

Cant wait for the next one.

Next one is on the 5th of May, Champions League again, against BEC Tero Sasana ( japanese again ? ) and then the league starts against Shangdong Lueng on the 16th. The derby against International is on the 29th of May at Shanghai Stadium ... we're still getting season tickets ?

Fiddler, my crazy friend, I will be away for the 5th of May game but am keen as mustard for the next one. If you are getting season tickets, count me in and sign me up for a liver transplant while you are at it! Perhaps we should approach the Kangaroo Bar for sponsorship of our supporters club?

Im going away also but will be back for night of 5th so count me in, same goes for season ticket.

Shenhua Kangaroo Loyal has a ring to it. Will we give Fiddler a 2nd chance in charge of writing the club songs; I like the Hu Ha Shenhua but one with more words would be better. Laughing

Cheers

Craig

PS. Keiths method of not going to the toilet on long journeys is still giving me nightmares and is the last time I sit in a taxi with him.

That is the spirit, and so history has it that The Shenhua has it's first foreigner support crew ... Coming up with club songs has three problems to it : You have to be sober enough to make them up and not forget them, they can't have that many words so we can sing them when we drink ( which is rule number one being a member in the supporters club ) and it should be easy for the locals to join in ( but that seemed to work out just fine the last time ) Anybody in touch with the other guys, direct them here please
As Craig put the record straight saying it's gonna be a Thai team , I hope there's a few cute female supporters around as well ...
And the thing Keith did can't be healthy , he was rather quiet for the rest of the night , maybe because he was holding in for such a long time on the way there...

Alternatively, we could try to learn the existing club songs that are being sung by the thousand or so other supporters.....just a thought!

Although I did think of a new line for your song Fiddler:
Hu Ha Shenhua, Hu Ha Shenhua, Hu Ha Shenhua, Zuo ba Shenhua.

Practically writes itself......

add on "ole ole ole " , let Ricky Martin appear in the video and made we are and off all the money we buy the club and let GlasgowCraig have the honour of firing Wilkinson whenever he wants ...

Think we did quite well with some of the songs the fans were singing, especially 'bye bye' when the japanese player was sent off(also sianara just after) and those with clapping in it.

Maybe need some of our own songs for the bar, eg,

Wilkinsons wife's a slapper, she **** all over town.
And when she's ****** wilkinson she thinks of ................

Wilkinson takes it up the ****

And my personal favourite,

Come and have a go if you think your tall enough.

must say you guys are real fans. most chinese fans from other parts of china are way too serious about losing to the japanese. they curse shenhua for losing to the japanese the first game. it's almost like their women are being raped!! football game is about party and getting drunk for god sake. what's up with the nationalism? i like english fans and their way of cheering for a team.

well if the english would lose to germany , or the other way around , it'd probably be the same to be honest...

I dont think the rest of europe or certain parts of the world are too eager about the way english fans cheer their team.

HA HA HA HA HA , no offense but I just read the match report on their website and the english is just hilarious ( way better than my chinese in comparison but still a blast ) looks like Mr. Wilkinson himself has written it ... Or GlasgowCraig when he got home after the match that night ...

Even though it's a long way to go :
The Match on the 5th is on at 7:30 pm ... Two meeting points
A) 4:30 Paulaner PuDong
B) The Stadium itself at 6:30pm in front of the ticket booth ( gives us some time to have Pizza again )

hao bu hao ?

Think the guy writing it was at a different match; one with a 100,000 crowd at it. Never seen that much emotion in a written article about a sporting event, or that much incoherence for that matter.
Laughing
Hopefully the same people as last time will go to the next game and maybe some more from this site. It really was a fun night out, we paid 100rmb for tickets but there is also 40rmb tickets. A season ticket costs in the region of 400rmb but does not include some matches.

Pizza at stadium was probably best I have had in shanghai, thin crispy base. Just dont eat it if you havent kept your eyes on it, eh Fiddler.

There is even a massive pool/snooker hall under the stadium.

One Question - Can you drink more than your own weight in beer?

Im also off for a bit of quality time with the g/f over the holidays. Sadly, I had to choose between her or the football. Cant fault my loyalty, the soccer won so I will be back in time. Laughing

Game is on the 5th, as Fiddler said, 1st meeting place is Paulaner in Pudong at 4.30pm, next is Hongkou Stadium ticket office between 6.30pm and 7pm. Game kicks off at 7.30pm.

Next game after that is the weekend of 16th May. Kick off time is unconfirmed but if it is the same as last year its about 3pm -3.15pm. 1st home league game of the season. Shenhua are champions so should be a good party.

Why not join the guys and let the women go shopping. More the merrier.

Cheers

Craig
