This is kinda silly if only I (and one other person who posted about wet) make posts here. Don't worry about the number, just name a new game if you see it there. |

Why don't you just tell the store guy to update this website.
I'll bet you he's already got a Taobao shop, as well as other existing forums where he posts the games and other items. He might also have an existing site.
Shouldn't be too hard for you to tell him to update here also. Its good for his business.. |

Dazza, that's the place you brought the missus & I to to get the Wii, right? Haven't been back there in awhile. I started using a place near my home, but about half the games they say are in English are only HALF in English. Will have to check out the original place again sometime.

Sounds like a killer title!
Any good RPG's for the Wii? Some sort of Final Fantasy-esque game? Used to love the PS1 FF games. |

Good games and Wii now there's a contradiction
But good RPGs are hard to find these days (on any system)... The genre isn't really evolving much these days and the best ones are still the PS1/2 ones afaik... I think there are some tales of... games on wii tho, might wanna check those out (or at least some reviews)... not sure what else there is... |

Lolwut? Use private trackers. I've got about 12-17Mbps from them. It takes 1-2.5 hours to download 6Gb games. |

IMO wii is awesome for casual gamers and party games. The only good RPG I've played on wii is Zelda. But then again, I've only just been reunited with my wii again (separated for 1 year) so I'm pretty much out of touch with the newer wii games.
Does this shop sell the original Guitar Hero guitars and drum for wii? |

I went to 1601 Beijing Xi Lu today and the shop space was up for rent! I was thinking WTF when I looked across the road and there it was. Unfortunately they didn't have the original Guitar Hero guitar but at least they didn't try to con me with 3rd party guitars while insisting that they are original Guitar Hero guitars! |

Did you look in the drawers underneath the cabinets holding the real PS3 games? |

Can these guys still throw in the Homebrew Channel onto the Wii? Was reading a bit about it but the threads were mostly over a year old. |

My wii is currently okay. Perhaps I shouldn't bother with it until something actually happens. |

hey everyone
i have a question about this store and games buying in general in shanghai
well ive been in shanghai since 2005 and think i bought my first xbox 360 in 2006. seems to me that a lot of the games stores are going down hill. i had a couple of stores where i used to buy my 6 rmb games (changle lu and fumin lu stores). the changle lu store used to be great...fumin lu not so good. changle lu store always had great selection and most importantly they actually worked maybe 80-85% of the time. well, now that store has gone seriously down hill...went there for first time in 6 months last week...bought 6 or 7 games...only 1 worked. the others just did nothing..hung on screen (white background with xbox logo - seems like there is actually nothing at all on the disc)
this has been my experience with a number of stores for last 6 months or so....and where lots of the stores used to have an xbox hooked up so that you could check the game in the shop, now many dont.
was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this? what is situation with the beijing lu stores games? how often do you get dud? and can you check the disc in the shop?
i know i know...shouldnt complain too much as they are dirt cheap. but its quite frustrating when you cross shanghai to buy only to get home and the disc has nothing on it. might only be 6 rmb but hey, still feel cheated. i'm sure they cant check every disc before they sell it...but its got to the point where i dont think it is simply bad luck that i am getting a dodgy disc. i now have 3 non working copies of ghostbusters and 2 non working fifa 10...all bought form different shops in past couple of weeks.
so if i make the trek to beijing lu what are the chances i will get working copies of these games?
cheers guys and gals |

so far i've bought all games at either the one at beijing lu or one near datian (i think its spelled like that) lu and all of them either work or are not compatible with my xbox (pal)... never had the problem you described... are you sure its not your xbox laser being crappy?
Doubt they are selling fakes, the profit is not that high and it would give their store a bad reputation... i'd try the discs on another box/in some store to see if they work... |

Zelda's not an RPG.
Fire Emblem (Strategy/RPG)
Little King's Story (Harvest Moon-like feeling, but with RTS building and adventure exploring)
Super Paper Mario (In the same vein as Super Mario RPG and the others)
Tales of Symphonia (Action/RPG, very long)
Opoona (It's got a unique battle system, might like it.)
Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo's Dungeon (Random dungeons, long)
Rune Factory: Frontier (Action/RPG, long)
Also,
Dragon Quest X is exclusive and coming out next year.
Plus, there's the Virtual Console RPGs from the N64 and SNES you can get. If you want RPGs, get a DS. |
