Post subject: How setup dream satellite TV box and get back lost channels?

If your dream TV show 'lost satellite signal' , how to setup homecast decoder and get back your lost dream tv channels?
more in http://www.dreamsatellitetv.com.cn

Step 1: you make sure whether your satellite cable has been connected with your homecast receiver, put the plug in the interface 'Dish IN'.

Step 2: Press the MENU button to show the main menu, then press 'ok' button and enter sub menu, you select 'installation' -> press '>' right button, select 'Dish setup' button -> press'ok' button, enter the password pop-up window, the default password is '1234', you input it then it will skip into Dish setup window.

Step3: Firstly you check the top of 'dish setup' window, it will show signal strength and signal quality, as usual you can find signal precent in the left, it is more than 45%, but it will show 0% in the right, if it is 0% or less than 40% in the right, you can't watch tv programs, so you need to find back your lost tv channels from here by checking satellite signal and setup satellite parameters.

Step 4: Setup 'LNB type' into '11300' (default is 9750/10750), you needn't modify other parameters in 'dish setup' window, then check whether signal come back, (it won't show 0% in the right), if it shows 0% yet, you will do the next step.

Step 5: press 'exit' button and enter 'factory reset', then 'ok' button, select 'yes', all will come to the factory setup, then you do it according to the second step again.

Step 6: enter 'dish setup' window, then setup 'LNB type' into 11300, then skip into Goto 'Auto search', press it, you will get back your lost tv channels.

Yeah, I have a DM500 Dreambox. I had originally signed up for a package that included the Philippine Satellite channels, but now I don't have them. The service guy told me that the service is not provided now. I was wondering who subscribed for a package that includes Philippine Satellite and whether or not they are still receiving it. If so, what is the the service company's name and/or contact?

The best solution would be if anyone knows how to crack the codes for this. hehe.

Dream tv changed the satellites they were broadcasting through and strengthened their security. Pirated signals are now blocked

Yeah I understand the strengthened security, but I want to know is for now is Philippine satellite really blocked, or is that just because the service provider is slacking off on me for fixing my problem.

So has everyone's Philippine satellite also been blocked as of late? I'm missing out on my daily serving of new Naruto and Ben10 cartoons. The other CN channel is all reruns.

Only those with pirated systems are cut off those with genuine systems not affected. therefor you ahve a pirated system.

Just buy the genuine receivers and pay your subscriptions.... enjoy

All the pirate boxes stopped working last month. it's not that you were note warned with messaged on the Dream TV channels just nobody wanted to believe them

I see. I don't know whether the guy was real or not. Cuz everyone claims to be real. I just got a reference from a friend whose judgement I trust. However I am using a DM500. Dun know what to say.

If you do your homework and check the dream website at www.dream.com.ph you can find out who the authorised dealer for China is... and buy off them!

Hi. My DreamTV DM500 is showing "Service could not be found". The technician says it is because i hit reset - which i didn't - and wants me to pay him 500RMB for a replacement box... not sure what's going on - will the above method work for my dm500?

also i notice that the url's onscreen seem to contain garbage characters now where i don't think they did before. this all happened 2-3 days ago after working fine for a two weeks.
Any help would be appreciated!

If you want the real Dream and want to use someone locally, then contact Jie Daniel. Read the threads and you will find her listed here. I have had the subscriptions for 3 months and have not had any problems with Dream. So much better than having the fake cards....

homecast has two A/V outputs, it can connect your two tv sets at the same time, only need a long A/V wire for another TV set.
