Dance Party for Fundraising
Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai (Cancham) will hold a dance party on September 19th, 2009 named Maple Leaf Dance for Dreams, according to the announcement from the Canadian business community on August 3rd.The party welcomes all clients with your benevolent heart to enjoy happy evening here. The community aims to raise funds for schoolchildren who are attending the Aluo elementary school in Sichuan and the FTC (Free the Children) & CANCHAM School in Anhui, according to the release. Your whip-round will be school supplies for children who thirst for Knowledge and education in depressed area.
There are no formal dress required, just show your own dance styles and footwork in casual attire you like. The party will prepare a cocktail reception, a Canadian-inspired buffet and an auction of Canadian products with live music and DJ, the release said. This will be a comfortable and simplicity of giving.
The community built a school for 300 children in Anhui through Chamber’s partner, Canada-based a children's charity “Free the Children”. The fund of over 60,000 yuan came from the ball last year.
The party will start at 6:30pm until late at the Grand Hyatt Shanghai in Pudong. If you are a CANCHAM member, you can get ticket with 550 yuan, and 650 yuan for non-members.
