Greentech Conference in Shanghai
By Miranda Li

The American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai will hold Greentech conference with US-China Clean Energy Forum, China Greentech Initiative and PricewaterhouseCoopers on Sep.7, and Sep. 8, 2009.

The attendance of that conference is expected over 300, who are leading policy makers, political and business figures and experts in green technology area. “The United States and China are the world’s two largest importers of oil, consumers of coal and emitters of greenhouse gas,” the release said. “They also have the potential to become the world leaders in developing and deploying green technologies.”

The China Greentech Initiative, a commercial collaboration of leaders focused on uncovering and creating business opportunities in China's greentech markets, has done an open research with 200 industries in eight months about the power of collaboration in Chinese Greentech market. The conference is based on facts and findings of that research to analyze and discuss the ways of cooperative energy agreements between the United States and China to accelerate green market progress.

The conference will be divided into the sessions according to the different topics. “Each session will present market opportunities in line with time and stakeholder, in addition to market barriers and solutions to accelerate market development as defined by the China Greentech Report.” The release said.

The Clean Energy Forum has grouped the experts from the United State and China to explore feasible ways of cooperation between the two countries in clean energy and alternative fuels in the last two years, according to the release. The results will be presented and discussed in details at the conference.

The conference will be held at Shanghai World Financial Center. (4th Floor Grand Ballroom)
