China To Build World's Tallest Twin Towers In Cambodia
Just in case the myriad highways and railways didn't convince you that China was taking over the world, two Chinese companies have secured a deal to construct the world's tallest twin towers in Cambodia's capital of Phnom Penh. The firms, Sino Great Wall International and Wuchang Shipbuilding Industry Group, reportedly won a bid worth 18.6 billion yuan last week to work on the project. The complex, named the "Thai Boon Roong Twin Trade Center," will reportedly be completed in five years.
Apparently it's gonna shoot laser beams.....
At a height of 560 meters, they'll be 108 meters taller than the current record holders the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur. The buildings are also slated to be the 5th and 6th tallest in the world respectively.
The trade center is expected to include offices, apartments, luxury hotels as well as an exhibition hall, a theater and restaurants.
