There's a poll going on at the Metrofans BBS titled "Greatest Regret With Regards To The Construction Of The Shanghai Metro System". So far there are almost 500 votes for these choices:

1. At People's Square, Zhongshan Park, Shanghai Railway station and other stops it is very inconvenient to change lines. (许多站点如人民广场，中山公园，上海火车站等，转乘和换乘不方便)
2. The cave-in under the Huanpu River during Line 4's construction caused delays in its completion and negatively affected the system's general development. (4号线出事故延期竣工并导致中央宏观调控)
3. Lines 3 and 4 share a stretch of track between the Baoshan Rd and Yishan Rd stops. (3，4 号线共线)
4. Line 8 won't use the domestically designed and produced model-A subway car. (8号线没有用A车)
5. Because of problems with the signalling system, the time between trains on Line 1 can't be shortened and causes overcrowding. (1号线由于信号系统问题间隔缩短空间太小，导致1号线太挤)
6. The overall design of the metro system defies logic and isn't capable of meeting the transportation needs of the city's citizens. (上海地铁总体上规划不尽合理，建设进度跟不上市民需求)
7. Ticket prices are too high and the discounts for long-distance travel are not large enough. (票价太高，特别是渐远渐减不是很明显)
