Please join Shanghai Roots & Shoots for a special rendezvous to pay tribute to world-renowned primatologist, founder of Roots & Shoots and guest of honor of the evening, Dr. Jane Goodall.
This year will mark Dr. Goodall’s fifty-year milestone since the start of her critical chimpanzee behavior research in Tanzania. Her work in the field profoundly challenged mainstream ideas of what it is to be human, and continues to inspire further research and global conservation efforts of wildlife species and habitats today.
To commemorate Dr. Goodall’s fifty years of giving, Shanghai Roots & Shoots will donate the proceeds of this gala towards a 20,000-tree Friends of Jane forest that will be planted in Inner Mongolia through the Million Tree Project.

This event will take place at the JW Marriott Hotel and will be filled with breathtaking views of Shanghai’s cityscape, live classical music and entertainment and a fine dining menu.
