I am an American with a Shanghainese wife and stepdaughter. We live in San Francisco, and only get to Shanghai about once a year, and miss the place (though not in the plum rain season).
We also have a shanghai-oriented website, www.shanghaisoup.com (my server requires the www ). Its non-commercial and ad-free. Not particularly expat-oriented, but has plenty of links to sites such as this one.
Its our old site, upgraded, with a new name and new server. And its now accessible from within China. (Don t know where we went wrong before!) Visit us at:

Wow, impressive and very articulate website on Shanghai. An applause for the delicious Shanghai Soup!!! Hey, how are you? I am Yukichiciri. It is great knowing there are lot of people interested in one of the best city in the worl - shanghai. I went to the website, it is full of historical and cultural sense of shanghai.
