Hi guys, I am currently finishing my Bachelor of Economics and Finance in Melbourne.

What I intend to do next is to go to Shanghai and get a job there for a few years to get a new experience in life.

Questions are as below:

1) I've read around and I know the average wage for fresh grads are RMB 2000 - 3000. Is that the same as wage for the workers in finance?

2) Will I be able to survive WELL in Shanghai with my salary vs my cost of living? I know Shanghai is big and I don't really have any idea where are the companies are centred in. I would want to have an average life where I can eat out almost every meal and an average restaurant and also some nightlife here and then. Is my salary enough to cover that?

3) Must my Chinese/Mandarin be really good? Or is there any foreign companies which doesn't require their workers to speak/write chinese?

4) Is life in Shanghai as hectic and competitive in Hong Kong?

5) Given a choice, out of the three, which one is the most enjoyable place to work (finance sector)? Shanghai, Malaysia or Singapore.

Thats all thanks for the upcoming answers Smile cheers
