| Post subject: Why Dream signal is so unstable now?? |
So, I have 2 crystal boxes, and almost everyday one loose signal, or whatever is happening, I just know that the free channels work, while for the others it says " scramble channel".
Then I need to re-scan, unplug, plug , turn off, turn on, wait...till it comes back.
I never had this problem with the old real homecast or the fake bolt.
What's going on? Is the weather?? the reception? the antenna? |

According to most dream customers' feedback, We find that homecast receiver will be more stable than hyundai crystal receiver, homecast users won't meet any problem, but a few hyundai crystal users will meet this problem that scramble channels can't be decrypted by your smart card.

Yes, 15min after I talked to Jie, it was working again
thanks!
The antenna is fine, nothing is blocking it, as it's at the top of the house, and the other box was working fine.
I think its something with the card that needs some technical adjustments from time to time, right?? |

Dream signal is very stable, so far homecast receivers haven't meet any problem, but crystal receivers will lost TV channels sometimes, two kinds of receivers are very popular in mainland of China, one is homecast, it is from comworks Inc as true dream satellite agent, another is hyundai crystal receiver, it is from mingge company, mingge only answers for the manufacture of decoders. but mingge never has a accredited agent as dream satellite company(PMSI). now all cystal receivers meet this problem. maybe now philippines dream company(PMSI) will break off dream signal to mingge. we don't hope so. |

No idea what your post means.
I can say that I have a crystal box, and have had nothing but great service and no problems with the thing.
We lost signal for one day in the time i've had it, and during that time I was called and emailed to tell me exactly what was happening.
I won't be changing anytime soon, and would highly recommend the crystal box and Shanghai dream's service. |

Dream TV has been working fine a few decoders needed to have cards reset.
Most of those that needed resetting are fine some still need a reset. |

^ Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean by that. Do you mean either:
a) The ones that DIDN'T fail still need to have their cards re-set?
or
b) There are ones that failed that are still in need of a card re-set.
or
c) something else entirely.
Mine stayed on - i.e. no channel loss, but I'm wondering if the card needs to be re-set.
Could you please clarify? |

Sorry Jim, the "sat guy" is not you, but another one that posts here also, selling hbo and dream...I was looking for dream on internet and saw my shanghai expat post but in another site, with another name, with this guy answering about how Homecast receiver was stable compared with the Crystal boxes!
By the way, both of mine crystal boxes aren't working yet!
What should we do? |

Yes - it seems that most boxes are up and working now overnight.
Mine is fine, as with a few colleagues as well. All bought their original crystal boxes within the past few months. |
