All the legit Dream box can`t work with saying"This channel is not handled by the smart card."

What`s wrong? The telephone number of Philsatcorp is also not working...

Im not using this phone anymore, I call Jie on her mobile when I need!
By the way: Off topic, I know, but for the first time in 5 1/2 years in China, someone called me to let me know we may face a problem and to wait one or 2 days because they're already trying to fix it. Congratulations, Jie, it was outstanding!
Back on topic: but we still need our sat working! why its having so many trouble nowadays? I never had problem with a real and a fake one for 2 years!

you try to 'factory reset' and search all tv channels, at the same time you tell your card number to your sat dealer. need to wait it for some time.

- Its interesting how these types of "Newbie" come out with such a comment as their first and only post on this forum. Hhhmmmm..... must be a regular.

Not sure why your box isn't working - hope it is soon.
I think most people with genuine boxes came back online overnight - so most are quite satisfied.
The problem was with Dream in the Philippines - i have friends living there who have had the exact same problem - so its nothing that can be solved from here in China.

Part of the problem is financial difficulties at Dream in the Philippines. = HBO / cCnamax stopped service with them earlier this year for lack of payment. Also the 3 major typhoons that hit the Philippines caused problems with their equipment

Ours went down for 1/2 a day, but it was working again by the evening. I'm not sure who our agent went through to get the cable setup, but I've emailed philsatcorp previously and they've helped out fairly quickly.

I'm interested in what you consider an appropriate "first comment" would be from a newbie, if the above post asking for help on who to contact for their satellite is 'interesting'?? Posting a comment in the PIT? uploading a pic on the 'celebratation of beauty' thread?
Sorry, but it s.h.i.t.s me to tears when someone posts for the first time asking for assistance and is automatically questioned or hassled by some bullyboy who thinks they own this site...they are asking for help, it's not spam, so if you don't want to help them, then keep quiet....rant over Evil or Very Mad

Bigroh I read carefully on the forums here before contacting Jie and yourself by PM. Your posts are sometimes very critical but you did give me your reasons by PM about another provider who I chose to use.

Of course somebody with a problem my be a new poster like I am as I joined the forum only a short time ago after arriving in Shanghai only a few months ago.

The forums are meant to help people with problems not for abusing somebody for having one. I have friends whose Dream decoders are not working still yet others like you have services restored.

As another poster said it's not just in China but also in Philipinnes people are having problems.

Hi Bigroh, like you, I have also just arrived, 4 months to be exact. It's people like Jie that makes my life here more enjoyable. Do contact her if your box is still not working well. She is a rare gem in a city like here where emails are not replied, phone calls not answered and no one seems to know what I need.

Mine just got working this afternoon, Jie and her team are really working hard to restore it. Do call her.

Kamon:
You are right about Jie - I've found her service to be excellent. I've been in contact with her during the past couple of days. My system was back up and running late last night, just after midnight. Very Happy

I've been here nearly 10yrs actually, not just arrived. I'm glad ur happy with her service too.

Jie, at last some one in the Sat-TV trade that knows what "Good Customer Service" is all about!

Having dealt with some "bottom feeders" over the years to be able to watch English speaking TV its great to find someone who does what they say!
