Maybe a couples Spa.....Sauna, Masage, Dinner and a Show...you get to watch the show in a great overstuffed chair while wearing lounging PJ's |

This is a exact thing i want which u ask for ..... i am kind of cool guy. Who like the peaceful and beautiful place where we can spent our evening with our partner having light tasty food along with light slow music... place must be out side , not a pub,hotel, or restorent ... i also looking for this type of place in shanghai.
There R many Suggestion and info. about that in the forum . i like that.. hope i find the right place soon.... |

Cotton's, Sasha's and Le Bistro Saliya have decent dining outdoors. Ambience is light, though your opinion of the music may vary accoridng to your tastes. |

I'm very happy for you, but I'm not really looking for a 20 year old girlfriend. Hopefully, neither is my husband. (I am aware that several seem to be looking for him though  but he is not presently in the market for an exotic pet.) |

Thanks for the information. It seems to be a nice quiet place. My gf and I will go there tomorrow. Do you have any recommendation on where to eat? A nice local restaurant with history, but not with inflated laowai price will be ideal.
She found that we can buy a bus-admission package deal of 100 RMB per person. The bus will leave SH bus centre at SH Stadium at 8:30 am and return in the evening. At this moment there are still 35 or so tickets remaining. The bus centre's phone number is 6426 5555.
Another option is to drive or take the subway line 1, then switch to a bus as bellow.
枫泾镇位于上海金山区和浙江嘉善交界处，320国道、沪杭高速公路、沪杭铁路都经过枫泾，交通十分便利。自驾车可由320国道或沪杭高速公路（枫泾有 出口）到达，在上海梅陇有至嘉善的火车途经枫泾。
另外，上海莲花路地铁站有莲枫线大巴至枫泾，也可乘莲金线先至洙泾再转车至枫泾（洙泾至枫泾车很多，约10分钟就有一班车）。

I think you might like this newer place called Brick. It's a restaurant/wine bar and it doesn't have the density of packed Friday nights at JZ and the suffocating secondhand smoke, but it has live Jazz music almost every night. It's one of my favorite places to go now. The atmosphere is romantic: dark lighting and brick walls (hence the name) and it makes you think of Shanghai in the 20's. On Saturday night there is a really good duo - a piano player and singer. The girl sometimes sings classic Jazz songs or other stuff (Brazilian, Spanish) that she has translated into Chinese. She has a lovely voice and it's really an enjoyable show to watch. Oh, and the wine is very affordable. You can get a bottle of red for as low as 80kuai and it's not bad. I highly recommend this place.

if the weather is nice this month you should go to the patio at the fat olive. Good wine selection, very chill crowd, good view, nice place to relax. |

I went to JZ last night for the first time. Handsome Husband is out of town so went with a girlfriend. Very nice, liked it a lot. Will definitely be going back with HH again soon.
Also we have taken a liking to the Vue bar at Hyatt on the Bund. Might not be the 'hippest' night spot but the view really can't be beat and it's a pleasant enough place to have a few cocktails. Have been to the Glamour Bar a couple times as well. Because you know, sometimes you just need a bit of glam. |

I dunno, we went to go there once on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon, I think it might have been late August or early Sept, and it was weird. It seemed very 'Eurotrashy'. There was hip hop music blaring and everyone there seemed to be lolling about like they were in some sort of blingy music video. It was a very strange (to me) vibe, like "look at us, the beautiful people, we're here". Maybe that was a one-off event or something but it put me off the place. |

But old people are chewy. I would prefer young, tender and sweet meet...
As for Fengjing (枫泾), it was wonderful. We went there last Sunday on a package tour. There were so few tourists yet there are more than enough interesting places to look around in a day. It was very relaxing. The Chinese Farmer-Painter Village was also very near. It also had a small, but free adventure playground. I highly recommend it. |
