| Post subject: There's a crab in the hallway shoe rack. |
A crab (yes, the sea creature) has shown up in the inner hallway and is hiding in the shoes. No neighbors are home to claim it. What is the policy for live food hiding on/in your private property? I'm a bit worried about it drying up and stinking up the place, not to mention that it seems to enjoy shoes a bit too much.
Ideas, thoughts, legalities? |

If its a hairy claw crab, catch it, throw it into a pot of boiling water, and enjoy the snack after its done cooking. |

In the old days frogs rained from the skies under gawd's rath, only fitting now that it's Chinese crabs. BTW, don't let it get near your pubic hairs. |

through gallant bravery and cunning deceit, he managed to escape from a Chinese guy's jaws of death. I believe he should be honoured and protected to live the rest of his life harmoniously, and become the ShExpat mascot as an example to future generations on how to survive in China.
Arise, Sir Colin the Crab.
But if the shoes are smelly enough, he could be just right for a crab thermidor. |

We had a crab under the hifi the other day at a friends place.
Big bugger too. Thought it was a spider - saw something large with legs crawling under the speakers, and went sh i t!.
Sprayed half a can of raid under there, shone a light to check it wasn't moving, then moved the speaker, and out crawled a hairy crab!
Someone must have thrown it from upstairs balcony, and it walked into the lounge.
Despite being raided to buggery and back, it was still moving, so we moved it to the "fishpond" downstairs on a lilly leaf, and walked the dog. It had moved by the time we got back, so score 1 for Shanghai immunity...
At least we had a good story to tell the next day! |

Crabs always travel in groups. You should check out the whole apartment building and look for its partners in crime. They are probably trying to overthrow your apartment management company. |

They do indeed. That's why it's called getting 'the crabs', and not 'the crab'. |
