| Post subject: Pregnant in Shanghai? |
My wife, baby girl (15 months old now), and I are planning to move to Shanghai in late Feb/early March for 6 months. We're hoping she gets pregnant before we leave Florida, and wondering what kind of obgyn experiences other expat ladies have had while living in Shanghai.
We also wondering if finding an apt in Pudong is the best route, since we'd like to have open space, cleaner air, nice view, etc. Since we're arriving with no company package (I still need to find a job after arriving!), hoping to find a great place for US$500-1000/mo.
My wife is a pilates instructor...I'm a corporate teambuilder trainer and educator and entertainer and juggler/clown.
We assume it will be easy to find crib and other infant essentials for apt when we are in Shanghai...right? |

Regardig your question of hospital, actually there are several hospitals specilaized in expat preganancy health care, such as World Link Birthwise Service, International Peace Maternity & Child Health Hospital, American-Sino OB/Gyn Service. You can buy cribs and other infant essentalis in large shopping malls or there is a shop specialized in selling infant essentlais , but I obly know the Chinese names. Generally speaking, you can get best service in Shanghai. We can take your family to see the doctor or buy the baby product.
Do you have an idea of what kind of apartment you will rent, such as the decoration and layout. How many bedrroms do you want? If uou have any other requirement about the apartment, please let me know.
