Hi all,

Moving to Shanghai for internship from June to early September. Want a 1br place within walking distance of my office at Xiangyang and Huaihai mid road intersection for 4K a month.. Any tips where to look?

I live right there, pay 6500 for a 2bedroom around 100sqm in Joffre Garden. I looked pretty hard in that area for the price range you mention, and even though its a giant construction zone the prices were higher than other areas-its a great location with access to the metro, City Shop, restaurants, and nightlife. Be prepared to get a fairly local place for that price. If you search around these forums, you'll find some more info on prices and what you can expect in an apartment in certain areas. Good luck...

Should be doable, but only 3 months?.......Hmmm. That will be a problem.

A shared apartment might be a better option. You can search options.

Thanks guys.. Any of these places come with gym access included? I've been hearing Grand Plaza and Joffre Garden are good buildings, how are the gyms there? And should I just go to the front management and ask for empty apts?

There are actually agents who can help you search. Just tell them specifically what you want. But as someone mentioned, 3 months may be a problem. Usually it's at least one year.
