Is there any private or international school in Shanghai for high school kids?
And what kind of language is spoken there, english or mandarin?
I googled some of them like Dulwich college and concordia, any comment on these schools? |

gbuzz,
Shanghai does have a lot of International schools. There is a (fairly) complete list at www.shanghaifinder.com/schools which will bring you directly to their websites.
The level of education is quite high at nearly all of the International Schools. Many alSo offer excellent music, sports and fine arts programs. Classes are taught in English and the teachers at most International schools tend to be experienced teachers from countries like Canada, USA, Australia etc..
If you come to Shanghai, hopefully your company pays because the schools are rather expensive. Their are some alternatives (SMIC, for instance.)
Nicklar mentioned SAS (Shanghai American School), Dulwich College and SMIC above. In my experience (helping many families relocate to Shanghai) there is no "best" school as they all have strengths which match what families are looking for. Certain schools are more popular though - SAS Puxi is nearly completely full, as is Dulwich in Pudong. The British International School and Shanghai Community International Schools are expanding quickly, and adding classes to keep up with the enrollment demands.
Do look through this forum (its an amazing resource) and feel free to post (or pm me) if you have specific questions.
