Need Visa from Shanghai-Japan

Post subject: Need Visa from Shanghai-Japan

Hey guys-

I'm American. I was wondering if Americans need a visa to travel from Shanghai-Tokyo for a weekend.

Also, if I do not need a visa to enter Japan, does my re-entry into Shanghai count against my double-entry visa I have now (since i want to go to Hong Kong soon I need a double entry to stay valid)

A citizen of the US does not need a visa to travel as a tourist to Japan if the trip is 90 days or less

however I believe that your return to China will indeed expend one entry of your double entry visa
