My mate is coming over to visit me for a couple of weeks and during that time he want to have the best night out he can get in Shanghai.

As I am new here myself can all of you party animals out there help me out?

Well... what is his idea of a good night out? Dinner? Clubs? Bars? Classy bars? Laid back bars? Dive bars? Massage place? Hairwashing? Sports? Loads of people around? Loads of women? Loads of loose women? How old is he?

Give us a bit of feedback and I am sure you will wind up with a bundle of suggestions for a fun night on the town

Looks like my hairwashing suggestion is still in the running for a free beer!

As Magnolia said, it really depends on what floats his boat.

How about
dinner 6-8 (hot sichun food)
Hair wash + message 8-9 (relax and chill)
Madam Zung 9-2 (party party party)
Mint 2-4 (more party)
Foot massage (you will need it right about now)
Breakfast, yum

do I get free beer ?

Hey!
Sorry been away for a few days and have returned to answer your questions.

What floats his boat? Well he likes classy bars, with classy music, good beer, good atmosphere and if he has the chance of meeting a classy lady then that will be a bonus for him!!

And I mean what i said in my first posting. If anyone does give a good suggestion there will be a few beers on me as a thank you as I appreciate the help the community is giving.

Cheers

Dinner somewhere interesting... like Nepali Kitchen then onto Bar Rouge. Hit one of the late night places for dancing. Will write more later... too hungry at the moment.

JAZZ house in XIntiandi is also cool after the thai dinner. or Paulaner in xintiandi.. but dont take the hookers though...lol

or M on the bund? 3 on the bund? classy but to me they are TOOOOO CLASSY... i cant wear my bermuda that day... i had to go.. shucks.

hmmmm...... when i lived in Xiamen, hairwashing meant something else. does everyone mean the same thing when they say hairwashing?

a GOOD night in shanghai for me... means the following:
great food (like longxia: shrimp that looks like tiny lobsters)
cheap beers at the lawson
then when intoxicated, proceed to any of the bars... it doesn't
matter when you're drunk.
