Post subject: help - childcare expenses

last year back in US I paid a part-time nanny $1076 for babysitting, another nanny $300 for babysitting. Do I need to pay for them the social security tax? If not, I can not claim this expenses as deductions, right?

Is this a question relating to US social security tax or China social security tax?

No, because you paid less than USD1,400 for each person in 2005. For 2006, the limit is USD1,500 paid to one household employee.

forgot one thing, you still may claim child care credit on your 2005 return for the amounts paid to the babysitters.
