last year back in US I paid a part-time nanny $1076 for babysitting, another nanny $300 for babysitting. Do I need to pay for them the social security tax? If not, I can not claim this expenses as deductions, right? |

Is this a question relating to US social security tax or China social security tax? |

No, because you paid less than USD1,400 for each person in 2005. For 2006, the limit is USD1,500 paid to one household employee. |

forgot one thing, you still may claim child care credit on your 2005 return for the amounts paid to the babysitters. |
