| Post subject: General Questions about visa |
hi there,
I just got hired by a US consulting company in Shanghai. They will take care of the whole visa process for me. However, they did not mention about the resident visa or how long the Z visa is valid for. I was also wondering how many times a year can I exist and enter China witht Z visa, and is Z visa the only thing that I need to work and live in Shanghai?
thx |

Z visa would get coverted to a resident permit. Post that exit & enter as many times that you wish. |

generally, a Z visa is only good for 30 days and 1 entry. During those 30 days you need to convert it into a residence permit the duration of which is dependant on the duration of your work permit. That allows you to come and go as you please. Lot of info about this on this site. |
