I'm usually recommending them and I still do, but be warned: I booked international tickets to US with them and then also some internal domestic (US) flights. I was told they would hold reservations till Mar 11th. Mar 9th I call to confirm and they tell me they lost the domestic flights' reservations. Result was 500usd extra required to fly at times that now totally messed up my planned itinerary.
I don't think this would happen with flights from China but I would be careful with domestic flights in other countries (not China). The airlines don't seem to give a cr*p about ctrip's bookings with them. In the above example, the airline was AA.

Sorry to hear that. I always book my domestic US flights via US websites, OR direct with airlines, just in case. Glad you will eventually get there though.
