Post subject: Baby check up

Hi,

Does anyone know if I take my 6 month baby for her check up to the hospital or to the doctors? Im based in Pudong.

Back in the uk I would of gone to the baby clinic for her to get weighed and talk about any concerns I would have.

Any information would be helpful, thanks!

Generally there are no "doctor's offices" here, everything is a hospital, and there are many, often specializing in something.

One of the biggest hospitals in Pudong is the Shanghai East Medical Center at Pudong Nan Lu & Pudong Da Dao, with a large western section if you prefer western doctors.

There are outpatient clinics if you go to the more expatriate oriented facilities like ParkwayHealth or Shanghai United. They are more like the surgeries you are most likely familiar with back in the UK. They have outpatient facilities with pediatricians or family doctors/ GP where they can weigh your child, discuss vaccinations, address your concerns.
